CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose men's soccer program captured two player of the week awards, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Junior defender
Connor Hudson garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors. While freshman goalkeeper
Leo Stritter was named Big South Freshman of the Week for the second straight week.
CONNOR HUDSON
The Murrysville, Pennsylvania native anchored a Blue Hose defense that posted a shutout in Presbyterian's 2-0 win over ETSU last Tuesday. Hudson played a major role on a defense that held ETSU scoreless while limiting the Bucs to only three shots on goal. ETSU entered last Tuesday's game having scored 10 goals this season.
Hudson is the fifth player in the program's history to garner Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors.
LEO STRITTER
The Eschborn, Germany native collected his third solo shutout of the season after playing all 90 minutes in Presbyterian's 2-0 win over ETSU. He recorded three saves in the game.
Stritter is the first player in the program's history to capture multiple Big South Freshman of the Week awards.
BLUE HOSE DEFENSE
This season, Hudson and Stritter have played major roles on a Blue Hose defense that has only conceded one goal in 360 minutes of action this season. Hudson and Stritter have helped the Blue Hose start the season a program-best 4-0.
