CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball was unable to tame preseason Big South favorite High Point on Friday night as the Panthers took the match 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 26-24) over the Blue Hose inside the Templeton Center. Sophomore Rylee Moorhead led the offense with nine kills and hit .391 for PC in the match.

How it Happened
- The Blue Hose and Panthers traded runs in the early going on Friday with four ties early before an 8-4 run from High Point gave the guests the 15-11 lead at the media timeout of set one. The guests kept the pressure on PC with six of the next seven points en route to a 25-16 set victory. High Point was able to swing .571 in the opening stanza.
- In set two, both teams continued to play tight early with points being traded once again as PC pushed in front 10-9 before a 6-1 burst gave the Panthers a 15-11 lead at the media timeout. PC came out of the media timeout fast with six of the next seven points to push back in front 17-16. HPU answered with five of the next seven points to take a 21-19 lead and force the Blue Hose to take a timeout. The Panthers closed the set scoring four of the last five points to win set two 25-20.
- PC was able to take an early 6-5 lead in a must-win third set before the Panthers used a 5-2 burst to take an 11-8 lead. The Blue Hose scored five of the next six which was quickly answered by HPU scoring three of the next four to give the guests a 15-14 edge at the media timeout. Presbyterian used a 6-3 run to take a 20-18 lead in the third set following the media timeout. PC and HPU traded points leading to the Blue Hose taking a 24-22 lead. High Point responded with four unanswered to take Friday's match in straight sets.

- Moorhead led the Blue Hose offensively with nine kills on 23 swings as she tallied a .391 hitting percentage. She also added six digs in the contest.
- Kinsey Bailey led the way with 16 assists and tallied three digs.
- In her first match in three weeks, freshman Anna Baranski recorded 15 assists and eight digs for PC.
