Blue Hose Open Fall with Strong Singles Showing in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team began their fall season at the Emily McNall Classic this past weekend which was hosted by UNC Asheville. The Blue Hose were joined by UNC Wilmington, St. Thomas, Wofford and the host Bulldogs.

The Blue Hose were dominant in singles all weekend as all five singles players picked up at least two wins led by sophomore Madison Dennett with a 3-1 mark for the weekend.

The doubles pairs of Lucianna Piedra/Claudia Sanchez and McKenzie Davis/Dennett each grabbed a doubles win against St. Thomas over the weekend.

UP NEXT
PC returns to the court on Saturday October 1 for the Western Carolina Invitational. The Blue Hose were originally slated to open the fall in Cullowhee but that was postponed due to weather.
