Lopez Nets Game Winner; PC Blanks VMI 1-0

CLINTON, S.C. – Behind another strong defensive performance and a second half goal by Gerard Lopez, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (3-0-0) shutout the VMI Keydets (0-2-1), 1-0, to remain undefeated.

FROM COACH POTTER
"A lot of guys contributed to today's win," Presbyterian coach Jonathan Potter said.  "We just found a way to win the game. Give credit to VMI their work intensity was immense, we had a lot to deal with and our guys found a way to win the game."

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 62nd minute, Presbyterian's Gerard Lopez corralled a misplayed ball at the top of the box by VMI goalkeeper Gabe Calhoun. Then, Lopez shot from just inside the box and the ball went inside the left goal post for what proved to be the game-winning goal.
