Crosby James led all scorers with 20 points but the Blue Hose lost to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers, 67-61, at the Templeton Center on Saturday afternoon.
James shot 9-for-11 from the free-throw line on the way to his 20-point performance.

Terrell Ard, Jr. scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds.

James, who has scored in double-figures nine times, leads the Blue Hose in scoring, averaging 11.1 points per game. James is tied for the team lead connecting on 23 three-point field goals this season. Forrest, who has recorded seven double-figure scoring games off the bench, averages 10.6 points per game.
Marquis Barnett averages 8.5 points per game and a team-leading 5.2 rebounds per game. Ard is second on the team in rebounding averaging 5.1 boards per game. Ard averages 6.9 points per game.
Trevon Reddish-Rhone averages 7.1 points while dishing out a team-leading 2.4 assists per game. McCormack averages 8.1 points. McCormack is tied with James for the team lead in three-point field goals made with 23.

FORREST TWO-TIME BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK - Forrest has been named Big South Freshman of the Week twice (November 28, January 9). Forrest is the fifth player in the program's history to garner multiple Big South Freshman of the Week awards.

This marked the most bench points scored by the Blue Hose since tallying 67 bench points in a home win over UNC Asheville on March 5, 2019. In the 2018-19 season, the Blue Hose recorded four games with at least 51 bench points.
This season, Presbyterian has had 15 double-figure scoring games off the bench.

OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - This season, Presbyterian averages 11.94 offensive boards per game, which ranks 64th in the nation. COACH FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.

Wednesday's game marks the 56
th meeting between Presbyterian and Gardner-Webb, who leads the all-time series 32-23. Gardner-Webb has won the last four games between the two teams including a 76-68 win over Presbyterian in Clinton, S.C. on February 19, 2022.
