The Blue Hose came up short against the High Point Panthers with a 64-56 setback on the road this past Saturday.

BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Forrest, who leads all freshmen in the Big South in scoring, is Presbyterian's leading scorer averaging 11.6 points per game. Crosby James, who has scored in double-figures ten times, is second on the team in scoring averaging 11.1 points per game. James is tied with McCormack for the team lead with 27 three-point field goals made. McCormack averages 8.4 points. Marquis Barnett averages 8.4 points per game and is tied for the team lead in rebounding averaging 5.2 boards per game. Terrell Ard, Jr. also averages 5.2 rebounds per game. Ard averages 6.5 points per game. Trevon Reddish-Rhone averages 6.7 points while dishing out a team-leading 2.3 assists per game. After his career-high 22-point performance in Presbyterian's game last Wednesday against Gardner-Webb, Kobe Stewart averages 6.7 points while grabbing 4.1 rebounds per game.

FORREST THREE-TIME BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK - Forrest has been named Big South Freshman of the Week three times (November 28, January 9, and January 16).
 
BENCH POINTS - Presbyterian behind the double-figure scoring performances from Forrest, Stewart, Houston Jones, and Quadir Pettaway off the bench in the win over Allen (December 19, 2022), the Blue Hose scored a season-high 58 bench points. This marked the most bench points scored by the Blue Hose since tallying 67 bench points in a home win over UNC Asheville on March 5, 2019. In the 2018-19 season, the Blue Hose recorded four games with at least 51 bench points.

This season, Presbyterian has had 16 double-figure scoring games off the bench. The Blue Hose average 22.0 points per game off the bench this season.
 
OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - This season, Presbyterian averages 11.58 offensive boards per game. The Blue Hose have recorded 11 double-figure offensive rebounds games (Carolina University - November 7, at The Citadel - November 10, at East Carolina - November 12, at UAB, November 16, vs. Bucknell - November 21, VMI - November 29, Elon - December 15, Allen - December 19, Campbell - December 29, January 4, at Winthrop, and Charleston Southern - January 7). The Blue Hose grabbed a season-high 20 offensive boards at Winthrop, on January 4, 2023.
 
COACH FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-USC UPSTATE SERIES
Wednesday's game will be the 34^th meeting between Presbyterian and USC Upstate, who leads the all-time series 17-16. The Spartans have won the last three games between the two teams including a 60-55 victory at home on February 16, 2022. Winston Hill scored a team-high 17 points in the game.
