Blue Hose Top Bearcats

GREENWOOD, S.C. – Behind two doubles and four singles wins, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (2-4) defeated the Lander Bearcats (0-1), 5-2, on the road.  
 
DOUBLES
With wins at number one and three doubles, the Blue Hose captured the doubles point for the second straight match. At number three doubles, Presbyterian's Teo Cariov and David Mamalat collected the Blue Hose's first win with a 6-3 victory over Lander's Ambroise Marchand and Ludvig Danielsson. Lander evened the doubles matches at one win apiece with a victory at number two doubles. At number one doubles, Presbyterian's Dusan Milanovic and Max Benson, who are ranked No. 22 in the ITA doubles rankings, posted a 7-5 win over Lander's Markus Sorensen and Nick Beamish to clinch the doubles point for PC.  
 
SINGLES
Presbyterian won four singles matches to claim the overall victory. At number two singles, Presbyterian's Benson cruised past Lander's Marchand, 6-2, 6-0. At number three singles, Presbyterian's Sebastian Dominguez gutted out a tough three sets win, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, over Lander's Matthew De Groot. At number five singles, Presbyterian's Loup Alleno clinched the victory for the Blue Hose with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Lander's Mourad Naoui. At number four singles, Lander recorded their first singles win. At number one singles, Presbyterian's Milanovic, who is ranked No. 63 in the ITA singles rankings, posted a 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-3) over Lander's Hugo Regner. At number six singles, Lander closed out the match with a win.
