Presbyterian had four double-figure scorers but the Blue Hose lost to Winthrop, 82-72, on the road on Wednesday evening.
 
Terrell Ard, Jr. scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed six rebounds. Jalen Forrest scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds off the bench. Owen McCormack scored 12 points. Trevon Reddish-Rhone scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.

BENCH POINTS - Presbyterian behind the double-figure scoring performances from Forrest, Houston Jones, Quadir Pettaway, and Kobe Stewart off the bench in the win over Allen (December 19, 2022), the Blue Hose scored a season-high 58 bench points. This marked the most bench points scored by the Blue Hose since tallying 67 bench points in a home win over UNC Asheville on March 5, 2019. In the 2018-19 season, the Blue Hose recorded four games with at least 51 bench points.

COACH FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-CHARLESTON SOUTHERN SERIES
Saturday's game will be the 37^th meeting between Presbyterian and Charleston Southern, who leads the all-time series, 26-10. The Blue Hose won both games between the two teams last season. Presbyterian defeated Charleston Southern, 68-48, in their previous meeting at the Templeton Center on February 23, 2022. Hill scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the game. Ard scored 11 points and recorded three steals in the win.
 
SCOUTING CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
The Buccaneers have posted wins over Toccoa Falls, Bethune-Cookman, Tennessee State, Kentucky Christian, and USC Upstate this season. Sophomore guard Claudell Harris leads the Bucs in scoring averaging 17.3 points per game. Sophomore forward Taje Kelly is second on the team averaging 12 points per game while grabbing a team-leading 5.6 boards per game. Redshirt junior guard Tahlik Chavez has connected on a team-high 45 three-points goals while chipping in with 11.9 points per game. Charleston Southern averages 76 points per game while their opponents average 76.4 points per game.
