CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose women's volleyball team (7-11, BSC: 5-2) played at home on Saturday, Oct. 14 with a four-set victory 3-1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-21, 25-17) over the Radford Highlanders (3-13, BSC: 2-5)

Steve Benson said, "It was nice to bounce back after a tough loss versus High Point. The win helped secure third in the conference as of now. It will be a battle in the second half of the season."
How it Happened vs Radford
The Blue Hose started out set one with a kill from
Kasey Battle, and then a service ace from
Hailey Grocholski not long after. This put PC in front 4-2. Throughout the next 13 points Presbyterian takes nine of them, extending their lead by seven with a score of 13-6. After some back-and-forth Radford is able to lower PC's lead down to two with a score of 22-20. The Blue Hose will hold Radford at 20 after they took the next three points of the set. Set one goes to PC with a score of 25-20.
In set number two Presbyterian takes a quick lead on Radford behind kills from Grocholski, Battle, and
Hannah Rowe, but the Highlanders answer with kills of their own, giving them a 4-3 lead. Presbyterian took the next four points after two kills from Battle, and one from both Rowe and
Jordan McAda, giving PC back their lead with a score of 7-4. After more back-and-forth, PC is up by four at 20-16, Radford goes on a five-point rally giving them a one-point lead with a score of 21-20. Kills behind Grocholski and two from Battle tied the score at 23 apiece. Battle recorded another kill to get to 24 but the Highlanders held them there ending the set at 26-24.
In the third set Radford takes the first three-points, but Presbyterian answers with three of their own. The Blue Hose then went on a 4-2 run, giving them a two-point lead at 7-5. The Highlanders tie up the set at 8, but PC takes the next nine of eleven points, giving them a seven-point lead with a score of 17-10. Radford rallies back and brings the Presbyterian lead down to one at 20-19. PC only allowed Radford two more points and finished the set 25-21, after two kills from
Julia Yurkovich, one from
Courtney Williams, and one from Rowe.
The Blue Hose started out the fourth set strong, jumping to a 7-3 lead, with kills from Rowe and McAda. PC kept the pressure increasing their lead to six at 13-7. Presbyterian holds Radford to just six more points while they take 10 more. This brings the score to 23-13 and gives the Blue Hose a solid lead. The Highlanders will take four more points, but PC ends the set at 25-17 after a kill from Battle.
