Matos and Mamalat Played in the ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Senior Javier Matos and sophomore David Mamalat competed in the ITA All-American Championships at the University of Tulsa this past weekend.

Matos and Mamalat both lost their opening matches in the prequalifying singles draw of the ITA All-American Championships. In the consolation draw, Mamalat defeated Ohio State's Reece Yakubov, 6-4, 7-5. In other consolation draw play, Matos was leading Dayton's Ronit Hiryur, 3-0, when Hiryur retired due to injury.

Members of the Blue Hose men's tennis team will be back in action this weekend at the Spartan Fall Invitational at UNCG in Greensboro, N.C., October 6-8.
