CARY, N.C. – Georgetown used a two-run eighth followed by a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to rally past the Presbyterian College baseball team 4-3 on Friday night at the USA Baseball Training Complex. Jay Wetherington led the offense for PC with a two-run double in the defeat.

- The Hoyas got on the board in the opening inning with an RBI single to get the early 1-0 lead in Friday's opener.
- In the third inning, following a Kyle Decker walk and Jake Randolph single, the Blue Hose got on the board with a two-run double off of the bat of Wetherington to take a 2-1 lead.
- The offense continued in the third with a Dalton Reeves RBI single to lead 3-1 after 2.5 innings.
- In the eighth, Georgetown connected on a solo home run followed by an RBI single to even the game at three headed to the ninth inning.
- The Hoyas finished their rally in the ninth, taking advantage of a pair of PC errors before a sac fly secured Georgetown's 4-3 victory.
