CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team returns to the courts on Saturday for two matches over a three-day stretch beginning with a road dual at Davidson on Saturday with first serve set for 1 p.m… PC returns home on Monday at 11 a.m. to welcome in Coastal Carolina to the Templeton Tennis Courts.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
- Davidson enters Saturday's match with a 1-4 record following a 7-0 setback last Saturday against ETSU. The Wildcats got in the win column over West Virginia State earlier this month.
- They have also faced Appalachian State, Virginia Tech and UNC Asheville to begin the 2023 campaign.
- The Wildcats are led in singles by Kavya Patel and Savanna Kollock who both are 2-2 on the young season.
- In doubles, Patel along with Daniela Porges lead Davidson with a 2-0 doubles record thus far in 2023.
- Davidson enters Saturday's match winning each of the prior three meetings from the Blue Hose including a 6-1 decision in Clinton last season.
SCOUTING THE CHANTICLEERS
- Coastal Carolina sits with an 0-2 record in the 2023 season as the Chanticleers battle South Carolina on Friday and Clemson on Sunday before traveling to PC on Monday morning.
- CCU has dropped a pair of 5-2 decisions in the young season to College of Charleston and Charleston Southern.
- Anna Babayan and Tatum Burger each have tallied a singles win for the Chanticleers thus far in 2023.
- In doubles, Babayan paired with Megan Hopton and Burger paired with Lilie Steryous are both 2-0 in doubles play already this season to pace Coastal Carolina.
- CCU has taken each of the prior 11 meetings from PC in the DI era which includes a tight 4-3 decision in Conway last season.

- Presbyterian returns four players from last season's team while adding a trio of new faces to the squad for the 2022-23 season.
- Fourth-year head coach Joel Roberts welcomes back junior Lucianna Piedra (Mexico City, Mexico), sophomore Madison Dennett (Palm City, Fla.), Valentina De Sousa (Caracas, Venezuela), and Claudia Sanchez (Betera, Valencia, Spain).
- Roberts also welcomes Varvara Nikolaeva (Suffolk, Va.) along with McKenzie Davis (Florence, S.C.) and Claire Giddings (Milton, Ga.) as the three freshmen to the roster for the 22-23 season.
SPRING SLATE
- Head Coach Joel Roberts 2023 spring slate features 20 matches, including 14 in the non-conference, beginning with the weekend's matches at Lander and Clemson.
- 12 of the 14 non-conference matches occur against teams who tallied 10+ wins during the 2022 season, highlighted by three with 19 wins last year. The three teams to total 19 victories were the College of Charleston, Charlotte, and Long Island.
- In conference play, PC hosts Campbell, UNC Asheville, and Radford, with trips to Gardner-Webb, Longwood, and Charleston Southern on tap this spring.
