Women’s Tennis Drops Home Non-Conference Match to Coastal Carolina

CLINTON, S.C... –  The Presbyterian College women's tennis team fell in non-conference action on Monday to Coastal Carolina as the visiting Chanticleers defeated the Blue Hose 7-0 at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The guests got out to a quick start with a 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles before the Chanticleers clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 result at the top spot.
- CCU also had a 6-3 win at the No. 2 doubles position as well on Monday.
- Coastal Carolina was able to quickly push the lead to 3-0 advantage in the match with straight-set wins at No. 2 and No. 5 in singles play.
- The Chanticleers clinched the match in straight sets at No. 3.
- Coastal Carolina added wins at No. 1, 4 and 6 en route to the 7-0 victory over the Blue Hose on Monday afternoon.  
 
UP NEXT
- The Blue Hose return to action next on Saturday with a 1 p.m. first serve against Wofford from the Templeton Tennis Courts.
