CHARLESTON, S.C. –The Presbyterian Blue Hose (5-26, Big South: 1-17) lost to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (9-20, Big South: 5-13), 85-59, on the road in their final regular-season game.
Trevon Reddish-Rhone led the Blue Hose with 18 points.
Jalen Forrest added 12 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – Charleston Southern scored 10 of the first 12 points of the game. Threes by Forrest and
Marquis Barnett cut CSU's lead to 10-8 at the 15:38 minute mark. Charleston Southern scored 15 of the next 17 points taking control of the half. With 1:45 on the clock, PC cut Charleston Southern's lead to 41-27 after a free throw by
Crosby James. The Buccaneers scored the final four points of the half to take a 45-27 halftime lead.
SECOND HALF – Presbyterian behind the scoring of
Terrell Ard, Jr., Reddish-Rhone, and Forrest outscored the Buccaneers 9-2 over the first three minutes of the half cutting the deficit to 48-36. Charleston Southern maintained a lead of 12-14 points for the next three minutes until with 13:59 on the clock, Barnett connected on two free throws cutting the Bucs' lead to 52-42. Charleston Southern scored two points, then, a three from Barnett from the top of the key got the Blue Hose to within nine, 56-47, with 12:26 left in the half. CSU answered with a three of their own pushing their lead back to 12. With 11:19 on the clock,
Kobe Stewart scored on a stick-back dunk getting the Blue Hose to within 10 points, 59-49. However, that would be as close as PC would get the rest of the game as the Buccaneers went on a 12-2 scoring run over the next five and a half minutes.

- Reddish-Rhone recorded his seventh double-digit scoring game of the season and the 30th of his career with his 18 points scoring output.
- Forrest collected his 16th double-figure scoring game of the season with his 12 points.
- Presbyterian scored 34 points in the paint.
- The Blue Hose tallied their 16th double-figure offensive rebounds game of the season with 14 offensive boards.
