Presbyterian Sweeps Doubleheader with Wins over Chattanooga and North Georgia

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose men's tennis team (6-7) sweeps a doubleheader with a 5-2 win over the Chattanooga Mocs (7-3) and a 6-1 win over the North Georgia Nighthawks (3-2) at the Templeton Tennis Courts.
 
PC vs. CHATTANOOGA MATCH
DOUBLES

The Blue Hose captured the doubles point for the eighth time this season. At number one doubles, Presbyterian's Dusan Milanovic and Max Benson, who are ranked No. 30 in the ITA singles rankings, cruised to a 6-1 win. At number two doubles, Chattanooga tallied a 6-4 win tying the doubles results at one win apiece. At number three doubles, Presbyterian's Pedro Cardoso and Teo Cariov posted a 7-5 win to clinch the doubles point for the Blue Hose.
 
SINGLES
Presbyterian won four of the six singles matches to claim the overall victory. At number six singles, Presbyterian's Loup Alleno gave the Blue Hose a 2-0 lead after a 6-2, 6-0 win. At number two singles, Presbyterian's Benson won his fourth straight match with a 6-1, 6-4 win increasing PC's lead to 3-0. At number five singles, Presbyterian's Javier Matos clinched the overall victory for the Blue Hose with a 6-3, 6-3 win. Milanovic, who is ranked No. 78 in the ITA singles rankings, collected a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 win at number one singles. Chattanooga posted three sets wins at number four and three singles making Presbyterian's final margin of victory, 5-2.
 
PC vs. NORTH GEORGIA MATCH
DOUBLES

The Blue Hose captured the doubles point for the ninth time this season. Presbyterian's doubles tandem of Sebastian Dominguez and Matos tallied a 6-3 win at number two doubles. At number three doubles, the Blue Hose's Cariov and Cardoso recorded a 6-2 win to clinch the doubles point for Presbyterian.
 
SINGLES
Presbyterian won five of the six singles matches to claim the overall victory. At number two singles, Presbyterian's Benson won his fifth straight match with a 6-2, 6-2 win for his eighth victory this spring. At number one singles, Presbyterian's Milanovic won for the ninth time this season with a 6-1, 6-3 win over North Georgia's Joaquin Benoit, who is ranked No. 5 in the Division II ITA singles rankings. Matos collected his fourth straight win with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at number five singles which clinched the overall victory for the Blue Hose. At number three singles, Dominguez came out on top with a 6-4, 6-3 win. At number six singles, Presbyterian's Alleno closed out the scoring for the Blue Hose with a 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-3) win. North Georgia made the final score, 6-1, with a win at number four singles.
