Coach Sharp's Thoughts
"I am disappointed in the result and honestly most of the game I thought the pressure bothered us early, and it got us back on our heels, which affected everything else we did. I didn't think we defended with the intensity level we've seen in practice. That's what's frustrating to both the team and our coaching staff is that we've had great practices for two weeks and we're just unable to get that carried over into games right now, and obviously, it's hard to simulate Gardner-Webb in practice. They're a really good basketball team. Alex does a really good job. I expected us to play with a little more grit and fight than we did, especially on the defensive end."
