ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville scored four in the eighth and one in the ninth to help push the host Bulldogs past the Presbyterian College baseball team 8-7 on Saturday afternoon at Greenwood Field. Dalton Reeves connected on a three-run homer and Brody Fahr had a two-run triple in the setback.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Reeves opened the scoring for PC in the fourth as the Blue Hose first baseman connected on a three-run homer to push PC out to a 3-0 edge.
- Brody Fahr connected on a triple down the right field line that extended the Blue Hose lead to 5-0 after 4.5 innings.
- UNC Asheville broke thru on the scoreboard with three runs in the fifth to cut the PC advantage to 5-3 after five frames.
- PC battled back in the sixth inning with a Noah Lebron RBI single before a double steal from Lebron and Trey Fenderson allowed the Blue Hose to push it to 7-3 for the guests.
- The hosts battled back in the eighth with a four-run frame capped off by a three-run home that evened the game at seven after eight innings.
- After PC was held scoreless in the top half of the ninth, the Bulldogs capped the comeback with a sacrifice fly in the home half of the inning to push the hosts to an 8-7 victory.
NOTABLES
- Fenderson, Reeves, Fahr and Decker each tallied a pair of hits in Saturday's action to pace the Blue Hose offense. Fahr now leads the way for PC with nine multi-hit games thru the 2023 season.
- Fahr also tallied his team-high third triple in the contest to move into a four-way tie for sixth in the single-season DI record book for triples in a year.
- Reeves connected on his third homer of the season in the fourth inning as he's tallied two doubles and a homer in the series with a team-high five RBIs.
- With his three RBIs, Reeves tallied his second game this season with three or more runs knocked in.
- As a team, PC totaled 10 hits on Saturday marking the first time the Blue Hose have had back-to-back double figure hit totals since Feb. 25-Mar. 4 when PC had four straight games with 10 or more hits.
