Blue Hose Post 10 Personal Records & Three School Records in Aggie Classic

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College cross country teams closed out the spring in style at the Aggie Classic as the Blue Hose tallied three program records and 10 personal records throughout the event hosted by N.C. A&T.

William Johnson smashed the school record in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.95 on Saturday. He improved on his own record by three seconds.
Spencer Wieters tallied a 2:06.83 in his 800 meters while Samuel Wall recorded a 2:12.19. Both Wieters and Wall earned PRs in the race.
Isabel Whitman paced the Blue Hose in the 1500 meters with a 5:15.88 finishing time which set a new personal record for Whitman. Caroline Rairigh posted a 5:23.31 in the same event joining Whitman with a personal best of her own.
Lili Jaraczewski rounded the PC trio out in the 1500 with a 6:14.07.
Nizeyimana Aristide posted a school record in the 400 meters with a 53.49 as Samuel Wall added a personal best in the same race at 57.18.
In the men's 1500m, Johnson finished sixth overall with a 4:07.21 as Wieters recorded a 4:33.73 in his 1500 race which set a new personal record for Wieters.
The Blue Hose had a strong showing in the 5000 meters as Keyli Gomez posted a 20:25.93 to win the women's race and her teammate Julie Covil finished runner-up at 22:51.31.
Whitman also led the way for PC in the 800 meters with a 2:31.90 just ahead of Rairigh who finished with a 2:34.91. Whitman posted a school record in the 800 meters which was a mark that had stood since 2008 in the PC record book. Similar to the 1500 meters, Rairigh joined Whitman with a personal record as well in the 800.
Gomez finished with a 2:45.70 in the same race as Jaraczewski recorded a 2:53.27 in the event.
