WILMINGTON, N.C. – Junior Pedro Cardoso captured a flight title as the Presbyterian Blue Hose men's tennis program began its fall tournament schedule at the Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNCW this past weekend.

Cardoso captured the Flight C singles title. He began his run to the flight championship with a straight sets win over Gardner-Webb's Graham Bourne, 6-1, 6-1. Then, he posted a 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) win over UNCW's Juan Jose Vargas to advance to the semifinals.  In the semifinals, Cardoso beat Gardner-Webb's Chrisjan Van Wyk, 6-3, 6-2. Cardoso captured the flight title with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Gardner-Webb's John Spring.

Members of the Blue Hose men's tennis team will compete in the ITA All-American Championships at the University of Tulsa this weekend beginning on September 29.
