CLINTON, S.C. – Behind a second half goal from
Carson Griffith and a strong defensive performance, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (3-3-0) Â downed the Jacksonville Dolphins (2-5-1), 1-0, at Martin Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

"This was the most complete game we have played this season," Presbyterian coach
Nick Finotti said. "We respected Jacksonville and scouted and prepared really well for this team. We were able to make them get out of what they like to do. We were able to play inside of them and play through their lines of pressure. I am super proud of our team. We have been building and building. I like where we are heading going into Big South play."

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 83
rd minute, a Jacksonville defender fouled Presbyterian's
Sandro Rabarivony in the box leading to a penalty kick. Griffith converted his third penalty kick goal of the season which proved to be the game-winning goal.

th minute, Presbyterian goalkeeper
Beatty Murray made a big diving save on a shot from Jacksonville's Cole Reasonover to preserve the shutout.

NOTABLES
- The Blue Hose finished the game with five shots with four shots on goal. Griffith had two shots on goal. Diego Hernandez had two shots with one on goal. Iragi Kalala recorded a shot on goal.
- Murray recorded four saves on his way to his second shutout of the season.
- The Blue Hose defense did not concede a goal while limiting Jacksonville to only six shots with four shots on goal.
