CLINTON, S.C. – Reudd Manin scored his first career goal but the Presbyterian Blue Hose (4-4) lost to the Belmont Bruins (4-3-2), 3-1, in Martin Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.  Â

"We had some good moments and some good stretches and then we would make really bad mistakes and get punished for it," Presbyterian coach
Nick Finotti said. Â "Credit to Belmont they had a good game plan. Honestly, I thought it was an even game for a long stretch of the game. I was pleased with much of what I saw today but we got to put a full 90 minutes together."

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 15
th minute, Presbyterian's Manin blasted a shot from the left side of the field 25 yards out from goal into the back of the net for his first career goal.
In the 25
th minute, Belmont tied the score at one when Rubyn Singh Gill scored off a Jansen Wilson assist.
In the 42
nd minute, Belmont took the lead when Dylan Steely scored off a Sam Rowan assist.
In the 74
th minute, Belmont's Sam Rowan scored the game's final goal of assists from Dylan Steely and Brock Kiper.
In the 76
th minute, Presbyterian had a chance to cut Belmont's lead in half on a penalty kick but
Carson Griffith's penalty kick was stopped by Belmont's goalkeeper Grant Calvert.

NOTABLES
The Blue Hose finished the game with an 11-8 advantage in shots and a 5-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Diego Hernandez recorded four shots and two shots on a goal including blasting the ball toward the upper left corner of the goal but Belmont goalkeeper Calvert made a diving save to thwart the scoring chance in the 55
th minute.
Chase Kennedy and
Damorney Hutchinson tallied two shots each. Griffith, Manin, and
Sandro Rabarivony each recorded a shot.
