LEXINGTON, Va. – Behind a second-half goal from
Sandro Rabarivony and a strong defensive performance the Presbyterian Blue Hose (2-2-0) collected a 1-0 shutout road victory at VMI (1-4).

"I am really proud of our guys and the way we played today," Presbyterian coach
Nick Finotti said. "We were 20 minutes away from starting the game and we had to clear the field for a two and half hour lightning delay. I was so proud of how our team handled the delay and how we got into the game. We were committed to our game plan. In the second half, we took our play to another level."
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 63
rd minute, Rabarivony scored the game-winning goal off a
Victor Faaborg Christensen cross. Rabarivony's goal was the first of his career at Presbyterian.
NOTABLES
- Presbyterian finished the game with a 17-8 advantage in shots including recording 11 shots in the second half. Iragi Kalala led the Blue Hose with five shots including three shots on goal. Rabarivony tallied four shots including three shots on goal. Faaborg Christensen, Luke Gladden, and Damorny Hutchinson recorded two shots apiece. Ryan Galloway and Diego Hernandez contributed in a shot apiece for the Blue Hose's efforts.
- The Blue Hose defense limited VMI to four shots on goal. Presbyterian goalkeeper Beatty Murray recorded four saves in his first career shutout.
- The Blue Hose also had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
