CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (1-1) travel to Atlanta, Georgia to play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (2-0) at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex this Friday, January 19 at 5 p.m.
Pedro Cardoso and
Javier Matos each recorded a team-high six singles wins last fall.
David Mamalat recorded five wins in the fall.
Loup Alleno,
Austin Skoog, and
Denim Yadav all posted singles wins during the fall.
PRESBYTERIAN-GEORGIA TECH SERIES
Presbyterian played Georgia Tech twice last season on January 19, 2023. The Blue Hose lost to Georgia Tech, 4-3 and 4-1, in those two matches. Matos and former Blue Hose standouts
Dusan Milanovic and
Max Benson recorded singles wins in the first match. In the second match, the doubles teams of Mamalat and
Teo Cariov and Cardoso and Skoog collected wins capturing the doubles point for Presbyterian.
SCOUTING GEORGIA TECH
The Yellow Jackets are receiving votes in this week's ITA Top 25 rankings. Georgia Tech has begun the season with home wins over Brown and Alabama. Two Georgia Tech players are ranked in the latest ITA Singles Rankings: Gabriele Brancatelli is ranked No. 67, and Richard Biagiotti is ranked No. 85.
