Blue Hose Fall to ETSU on the Road

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Presbyterian College women's basketball team (0-7) fell to the East Tennessee State University Buccaneers (3-4) in Johnson City, Tennessee on Wednesday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
ETSU took the first five points of the night before Paige Kindseth's three ball put the Blue Hose on the board. Kishyah Anderson added four points before Kindseth came up with a steal and another bucket, but the Buccaneers led 14-9 at the media timeout. After a scoreless two minutes Morgan Boyd made a jumper, cutting Presbyterian's deficit to just three points. ETSU scored the last six points of the quarter, giving them a 20-11 lead at the end of the first.
 
Second Quarter
Despite a turnaround jumper by Anderson, the Buccaneers took a pair of three-point field goals, sending them to the media timeout with a 26-13 advantage. An exchange of points saw another pair of baskets from Anderson, although ETSU led 33-19 at the half.
 
Third Quarter
Anderson took Presbyterian's first five points of the third quarter behind an impressive three-point play. The opponents held a 48-27 cushion heading into the fourth quarter.
 
Fourth Quarter
The Blue Hose never quit fighting as Teresa Mbemba led the charge in the fourth quarter. However, ETSU was able to end the game with a 64-31 victory.
 
NOTABLES
- Anderson finished with a team-leading 15 points, marking her fourth double-figure point game of the season. She also took a new career-high of seven rebounds.

The Blue Hose will return to Clinton for a game against the Queens Royals on Monday, December 2 at 6:30 p.m.
