CLINTON, S.C. –
Carl Parrish scored a career-high 23 points but the Presbyterian Blue Hose (7-7) came up short in an 86-81 overtime setback to the Manhattan Jaspers (6-5) in the Templeton Center on Saturday afternoon.
Parrish connected on six three-point field goals on the way to his 23 points. He also grabbed a career-high nine rebounds.
Kory Mincy scored 18 points and dished out seven assists.
Jamahri Harvey recorded 13 points.
Kobe Stewart scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Jaylen Peterson grabbed 10 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – Manhattan scored five of the game's first six points. Then, the Blue Hose scored 10 straight points with Harvey scoring eight of those 10 points. With the Blue Hose leading 11-7 with 15:45 on the clock, Presbyterian went on a 10-0 run capped off by a three from Mincy giving Presbyterian a 21-7 lead with 13:34 on the clock. With the Blue Hose leading 25-10, Parrish knocked down a three and a free throw from Scott gave Presbyterian their largest lead of the game, 29-10, at the 9:22 mark. Presbyterian maintained their double-figure lead the rest of the half taking a 43-30 lead into the locker room.
SECOND HALF – Manhattan went on a 19-9 run cutting Presbyterian's lead to 52-49 with 11 minutes on the clock. Parrish knocked down a three from the wing pushing the Blue Hose's lead to six points. After another three from Parrish, the Blue Hose led the Jaspers, 58-51, at the 8:49 mark, Manhattan outscored the Blue Hose, 15-3, taking a 66-61 lead at 4:55. Presbyterian scored seven of the next nine points tying the score at 68 after a free throw from Mincy with 88 ticks left in the half. Manhattan would take a three-point lead with 12 seconds left on the clock. Presbyterian's Parrish converted on a three-point play with seven seconds left tying the score at 73. Manhattan missed a long three-point shot at the buzzer sending the game to overtime tied at 73.
OVERTIME – Mincy started the overtime period's scoring with a driving layup. Manhattan tied the score at 75. After Parrish knocked down another three giving the Blue Hose their last lead with 3:46 on the clock. Manhattan scored five straight points regaining the lead for good, 80-78. Mincy made a free throw cutting Manhattan's lead to one point, 80-79. The Jaspers scored six of the game's final eight points for the 86-81 win.

- Parrish's 23 points marked his first career 20-point scoring game and his eighth double-figure scoring game of the season.
- Peterson's 10 rebounds was his fourth double-digit rebounds game of the season.
- Mincy collected his 13th double-figure scoring game of the year with his 18 points.
