CONWAY, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose women's tennis team (2-2) hits the road for a weekend of dual matches. First PC will face Coastal Carolina on February 2 at 1:00 p.m. in Conway, S.C. The following day PC heads to Wilmington, N.C. for a match against UNCW at 1:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE CHANTICLEERS
- Coastal started off the season with a 4-0 loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks.
- Beat the Wofford Terriers 5-2 last Saturday.
- Last season, senior Jesse Hollins recorded 14 singles wins while junior Anna Babayan won 13.
- Babayan also earned 16 doubles wins last season and Hollins totaled 14.
- The Chanticleers lead the all-time series between the two teams 12-0.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
- UNCW opens their spring season on Thursday with a match against Mount Olive at home before hosting PC on Saturday.
- Sophomore Eda Arli earned 11 singles wins for the Seahawks last season.
- Arli also won 12 doubles matches for UNCW last year.
- UNC Wilmington leads the all-time series between the two teams 4-0.
A LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE
Presbyterian was picked third in the conference's preseason poll which is the highest in the program's history. Last season the Blue Hose won 29.8 percent of their singles matches and 35.7 percent of their doubles matches. Last season,
Lucianna Piedra and
Claudia Sanchez led the team with eight singles wins, while winning nine doubles matches together. So far this season De Sousa has a 3-0 singles record while playing in both the number four and five spots.
SPRING SLATE
Head coach
Joel Roberts 2024 spring slate features 21 matches including 16 outside of the conference beginning with this weekend's matches in Charlotte. PC will play 11 matches at the Templeton tennis courts here at Presbyterian College this spring. In conference play, PC hosts Longwood, Gardner-Webb, and Charleston Southern.
