CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian Blue Hose (12-14, Big South: 4-7) stormed back from a 20-point first half deficit in a 76-73 win over Radford Highlanders (13-12, Big South: 3-7) at the Templeton Center on Saturday afternoon.
Junior guard
Marquis Barnett scored 18 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out three assists. Junior guard
Samage Teel scored 18 points while connecting on three three-point field goals including the game-winning triple from the wing with 1:17 on the clock. Teel also dished out three assists. Senior guard
Trevon Reddish-Rhone scored 12 points.
With 6:24 left in the first half, Presbyterian trailed Radford 39-19, the Blue Hose after a three from
Kory Mincy at the 16:28 mark of the second half had taken a 52-49 lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – Barnett scored the game's first two points on a basket in the paint just 15 seconds into the game. Presbyterian held a 7-4 lead after a layup from
Kaleb Scott at the 17:57 mark. Radford went on an 11-0 run over the next three and a half minutes. With 6:24 on the clock, Radford pushed their lead to a first-half high of 20 points, 39-19. Presbyterian scored 19 of the half's final 26 points cutting Radford's lead to 46-38 at the half. A three from
Crosby James started the scoring run. Barnett, Teel, Scott, Mincy, and Reddish-Rhone scored during the run.
SECOND HALF – Radford started the second half scoring off with a three-point field goal from Bryan Antoine, who scored 18 points, with thirty-one seconds gone in the half. At the 19:11 mark, Barnett connected on a three from the wing which started a 14-0 Blue Hose scoring run that was capped off with the three from Mincy giving Presbyterian a 52-49 lead. Barnett scored seven points during the run. Radford tied the score at 53 with 14:31 left on the clock. Then, Presbyterian scored seven unanswered points behind four points from Reddish-Rhone and a three from
Kobe Stewart taking a 60-53 lead. The Blue Hose would eventually push their lead to 72-62 after a three from Teel with 5:49 on the clock. Radford scored 11 of the next 12 points tying the score at 73 with 1:44. Then, Teel connected on the game-winning three to close out the game's scoring.

- Presbyterian's defense limited Radford to 27 second half points.
- Presbyterian finished the game with a 40-30 advantage on points in the paint.
- Presbyterian, who leads the Big South in field goal percentage, shot 54.9 percent from the field.
- Barnett's 18 points marked his 20th double-figure scoring game of the season and the 39th of his career.
- Teel collected his 19th double-digit scoring game of the season with his 18-point performance.
- Reddish-Rhone with 12 points collected his eighth double-figure scoring game of the season and the 38th of his career.
