SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Lucianna Piedra collected a singles win and was part of a doubles-winning team but the Presbyterian Blue Hose (5-5) lost to the Wofford Terriers (6-2), 6-1, on the road on Saturday afternoon.
DOUBLES
Wofford posted wins at number one and three doubles to claim the doubles point. Presbyterian's doubles team of Piedra and
Madison Dennett recorded a 6-4 win over Wofford's Emely Kahrs and Brianna Wilbur at number two doubles.
SINGLES
Wofford won five of the six singles matches to earn the overall victory. Wofford won at number six, one, and two singles. With a 6-1, 6-3 win over Wofford's Kahrs at number four singles, Piedra tallied her third straight win. Wofford closed out the match with wins at number five and three singles. Mathilde Delaney battled but came up short in a hard-fought three sets loss, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5).
