PC Falls to Quinnipiac

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team (5-3) lost to the Quinnipiac Bobcats (1-5) despite putting up eight runs.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With no runs from either side after the first two innings, Presbyterian scored first when Joel Dragoo singled down the left field line with the bases loaded to bring home two runs. Rhogue Wallace grounded out to second base, but allowed Brody Fahr to score. Evan Cuervo scored PC's fourth run of the inning with an RBI double down the right field line.
- The Blue Hose led 4-0 going into the top of the fourth inning before Quinnipiac took three runs.
- The Bobcats took four more runs in the top of the fifth inning to give them a 7-4 lead.
- Some errors from the Bobcats gave the Blue Hose a run in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 7-5.
- Presby was able to tie it up in the bottom of the sixth inning after Fahr hit a sacrifice fly to bring a runner home followed by an RBI single from Dragoo to put the score at seven runs apiece.
- Over the last three innings Quinnipiac scored six more runs while holding Presbyterian to one, ending the game with a score of 14-8.

NOTABLES
- Jeremiah Hampton recorded his first collegiate strikeout in the ninth inning of today's game.
- Christian Charalambous also earned his first collegiate strikeout today in the seventh inning.
- Joel Dragoo put up three hits and four RBIs.
- Brody Fahr added two hits, two runs, and an RBI.
- Aaron Hobson totaled three hits and two runs.
