CLINTON, S.C. – Behind the doubles point and four singles wins, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (3-2) defeated the Limestone Saints, 5-2, at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.
DOUBLES
The Blue Hose with victories at number two and three doubles captured the doubles point. At number two doubles, PC's
Marco Foglieni and David Mamalot recorded a 6-3 win over Limestone's Come De Lorgeril and Giovane Calou, 6-3. Limestone posted a win at number one doubles. Then, Presbyterian's
Pedro Cardoso and
Austin Skoog captured the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 6-3 win over Limestone's Barthelemy Bourdon and Thomas Jouanneau.
SINGLES
Presbyterian won four singles matches to claim the overall victory. At number one singles, Presbyterian's
Javier Matos defeated Limestone's Andre Zamorano, 6-1, 6-1. Then, Presbyterian's Mamalat topped Limestone's Andres Cortes, 6-4, 6-0, at number five singles. At number four singles,. Presbyterian's Cardoso beat Limestone's Bourdon, 6-1, 6-1. Presbyterian's
Denim Yadav defeated Limestone's Louca Bertone, 6-3, 6-4, at number three singles for PC's fifth point. Limestone won at number six and two singles.
