CLINTON, S.C. – Behind two doubles and five singles wins, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (7-8) cruised past the Quinnipiac
Bobcats (4-9), 6-1, at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Tuesday morning.
DOUBLES
Presbyterian picked up wins at the number three and two positions to capture the doubles point. At number three doubles,
Lucianna Piedra clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 7-5 victory at number two.
SINGLES
Presbyterian won five of the six singles matches to claim the overall victory. At number three singles, Presbyterian's
Mathilde Delaney collected a 6-3, 6-1 win. The Bobcats cut Presbyterian's lead in half with a win at number five singles. At number one singles, Presbyterian's
McKenzie Davis recorded her fifth straight win with a 6-3, 6-4 victory. At number six singles,
Presbyterian's
Claire Giddings clinched the win for the Blue Hose with a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Piedra increased Presbyterian's lead to
5-1 with a 6-3, 7-5 win at the fourth spot. Sanchez closed out the match with a 7-5, 7-5 win at number two singles.
