CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose women's tennis team is hosting the Longwood Lancers on Sunday, March 17 for a match that will not only consist of senior day, but it will also be the program's alumni and breast cancer awareness match.

Presbyterian College is welcoming the Blue Hose tennis alumni back to Templeton to be in attendance for Sunday's match. Presbyterian College is so thankful to these former players and their families for all that they have contributed to the program.

SENIOR DAY
After the conclusion of Sunday's match, the team will be honoring senior
Lucianna Piedra for her commitment to the program for the past four years. She is the team's only senior this season and was Coach Joel Robert's first ever recruit as head coach for Presbyterian.

A LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE
- The Blue Hose have tallied a 7-8 record so far this spring season with wins over Queens, Lander, Belmont Abbey (x2), North Greenville, Tennessee State, and Quinnipiac.

McKenzie Davis leads the team with a 10-4 singles record with nine wins at the No. 1 spot and one win at the No. 2 position.

Claudia Sanchez and
Valentina De Sousa lead the team in doubles with a 5-2 record after earning two wins at the No. 2 slot and three wins at the No. 3 position.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
- Longwood heads into Sunday's match with a 4-6 record with wins over Coppin State, Chowan, UNCG, and Norfolk State.
- After winning four of their last six matches, the Lancer look to keep up their pace against the Blue Hose.

PRESBYTERIAN – LONGWOOD SERIES
Sunday marks the 12
th time that these two teams will have met since Presbyterian joined Division I in 2008. The last time that the two teams faced off was last season where PC won 4-3. The Blue Hose have won their last six matches with Longwood and haven't been beaten by them since 2016. Presby leads the all-time series between the two teams 8-3.

Joel Roberts 2024 spring slate features 21 matches including 16 outside of the conference beginning with this weekend's matches in Charlotte. PC will play 11 matches at the Templeton tennis courts here at Presbyterian College this spring. In conference play, PC hosts Longwood, Gardner-Webb, and Charleston Southern.
