CLINTON, S.C. – Claudia Sanchez and Lucianna Piedra collected singles wins but the Presbyterian Blue Hose (8-9, BSC: 1-1) lost to the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs (5-7, BSC: 2-1), 5-2, at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Wednesday afternoon.
 
DOUBLES
Gardner-Webb captured the doubles point with wins at number one and two doubles. PC's doubles team of Sanchez and Valentina De Sousa recorded a 7-5 win on court three.
 
SINGLES
Gardner-Webb won four of the six singles matches. Sanchez won her third straight match tying the score at one with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number three singles. Gardner-Webb tallied wins at number six, five, and one singles. Then, Piedra picked up a hard-fought three sets win, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, at number four singles. Gardner-Webb closed out the match with a win on court two.
