FARMVILLE, VA. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team (11-13) fell to the Longwood Lancers (11-13) in the final game of their three-game series on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Jay Wetherington started off the game with a single to the shortstop before a ground out from the next batter advanced him to second. Batting third for the Blue Hose was
Joel Dragoo who hit an RBI single to left field, sending Wetherington in for the first run of the day.
- The Lancers answered in the bottom of the first to keep the game tied early with a score of one run apiece.
- In the top of the third inning, Dragoo hit a bomb over the left field wall to give Presbyterian a 2-1 lead.
- After no scores from either side in the fourth or the fifth innings, Longwood once again tied up the game with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 2-2.

Brody Fahr hit a double to open the eighth inning before advancing to third on a Lancer error. Rouge Wallace hit a sacrifice fly to right field, sending Fahr home to take the lead back with a score of 3-2.
- Longwood scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take their first lead of the day with a score of 4-3.
- The Blue Hose were unable to score in the top of the ninth inning, ending the game with Longwood in front with a close score of 4-3.

Fenix DiGiacomo pitched for the first seven innings where he recorded 10 strikeouts, while holding batters to just six hits and two runs.

Joel Dragoo hit his seventh home run of the season in the top of the third inning.
