WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – Evgenios Vasilakis posted a singles win while the Presbyterian Blue Hose (7-13) won the doubles point, but ultimately fell to the William & Mary Tribe (12-9) in their final match of the regular season on Saturday afternoon.
DOUBLES
William & Mary secured the first doubles match at the number two spot, but the Blue Hose rallied, claiming victories at the number one and three spots to secure the doubles point. Vasilakis and
Javier Matos combined forces at the number one position, clinching a 6-1 win that leveled the doubles series at one apiece.
Pedro Cardoso and
David Mamalat then broke the tie with a 7-5 victory at the number three spot, earning PC the doubles point.
SINGLES
The Tribe took the first two singles points, with a default win at the number six slot and a victory due to retirement after one set at the number five spot. Vasilakis then delivered another point for the Blue Hose at the number four spot with a convincing 6-4, 6-2 straight-set win. However, William & Mary sealed the match with victories at the number 1, 3, and 2 positions.

The Blue Hose are set to compete in the Big South Championship on Saturday, April 20, at noon against the UNC Asheville Bulldogs to determine who will be advancing to the finals.
