HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hose struck first in the bottom of the second inning led by a double to left center field from Noah Lebron. A sacrifice bunt from Rhogue Wallace advanced Lebron to third base before Jack Gorman picked up an RBI single, giving PC a 1-0 lead.
- Radford answered in the top of the third inning with one run to tie up the game.
- In the bottom of the third inning, Jay Wetherington drew a walk before stealing second base. Not long after, Joel Dragoo hit a double to right field bringing Wetherington home for the team's second run of the day.
- After a scoreless fourth inning, the Highlanders tied up the score at two runs apiece in the top of the fifth inning.
- The Blue Hose regained their lead in the bottom of the fifth inning when Brody Fahr took first base after being hit by a pitch. As the next batter, Dragoo singled to center field, advancing Fahr to third base. A sacrifice fly from Lebron brought Fahr in for another PC run and made the score 3-2.
- After no runs from either side in the sixth or seventh innings, Mikah Conner stole three bases on his own including stealing home plate to give PC a two-lead cushion.
- With neither team scoring in the ninth inning, the Blue Hose secure their fifth Big South Conference win with a score of 4-2.
