CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team (16-16, BSC: 7-2) took victory over the Radford Highlanders (9-20, BSC: 2-7) to secure their first conference sweep and second place in the conference standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Highlanders took the first score of the day with one in the top of the first inning.
- As Presbyterian's lead off batter,
Jay Wetherington smashed a double to left field before he advanced to third base on the next play.
Joel Dragoo drew a walk to put runners on first and third. A delayed steal from Dragoo allowed Wetherington to score on the throw to second and tie the score at one run apiece.
- In the bottom of the second inning,
Jack Gorman started out strong with a double to left center field. Not long after,
Jackson Hugus hit an RBI double down the left field line, making the score 2-1.
Adam Featherstone then singled through the left side, advancing Hugus to third base. Featherstone was able to steal second before
Eli Lazio hit a sacrifice bunt, sending Hugus in to score and advancing Featherstone to third. As the next batter,
Aaron Hobson hit an RBI double to left field for another Blue Hose run. Hobson was able to steal third base before advancing home on a throwing error by Radford. With no runners on base,
Brody Fahr singled to left field followed by an RBI double from Dragoo.
Noah Lebron matched Dragoo's hit with an RBI double down the right field line. With six runs in the bottom of the second inning, Presbyterian extended their lead to a score of 7-1.
- Radford took one run in the top of the third inning to cut the Blue Hose's lead down to five runs.
- After a scoreless next two innings, Hobson drew a walk to kick off the bottom of the sixth inning. He was then able to steal second base before Wetherington drew a walk. Hobson stole third base before a passed ball advanced Wetherington to second and allowed Hobson to make it home. Fahr then hit a sacrifice bunt, sending Wetherington to third base before a sacrifice fly from Dragoo sent him home to make the score 9-2.
- With no scores from either side over the remainder of the game, the Blue Hose secured the victory and the sweep over Radford after a game three score of 9-2.

- This series marks the first time that Presbyterian has ever swept Radford in a conference series.
- The bottom of the second inning marked the ninth time this season that PC has tallied five or more runs in an inning.
- The team put up a new season high of eight doubles in one game.
- This series marks the first sweep since the 2022 season.
