After his prolific goal-scoring week, Presbyterian College men's soccer senior forward Damorney Hutchinson was named TopDrawerSoccer's National Player of the Week. Hutchinson is the first player in the program's history to garner National Player of the Week accolades. He was also named to TopDrawerSoccer's National Team of the Week becoming the sixth player in Presbyterian's Division I era to claim National Team of the Week honors.
 

PERFORMANCE LAST WEEK
Hutchinson scored four goals in helping the Blue Hose record two wins with a 3-2 road win at Coastal Carolina on Monday, September 9, and a 3-0 home win over VMI on Thursday, September 12.

In the win over Coastal Carolina, he scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in the final seven minutes as the Blue Hose rallied a 3-2 road win at perennial NCAA Tournament participant Coastal Carolina. He scored the game-tying goal in the 84th minute. Then, he converted a penalty kick for the game-winning goal in the 88th minute.
 
Against VMI, he scored goals in the 44th and 55th minutes. He had two other goals called back that he scored on offside calls.  
 
For the week, he scored four goals with 14 shots and 8 shots on goal.

Hutchinson was also named Big South Offensive Player of the Week for his performance this week. 

HUTCHINSON'S SEASON AND CAREER
Hutchinson is tied for sixth in the NCAA with a Big South leading five goals.
 
In his two seasons at Presbyterian, Hutchinson has scored 12 goals which places him third on Presbyterian's Division I era career goals scoring list.
