CLINTON, S.C. – Behind wins at number one and two doubles, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (0-3) captured the doubles point before falling to the ETSU Buccaneers (1-2), 6-1, at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Wednesday afternoon.
DOUBLES
At number two doubles, Presbyterian's
Pedro Cardoso and
Daksh Prasad recorded a 6-2 win. Presbyterian's doubles duo of
David Mamalat and
Evgenios Vasilakis clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 7-6 (7-3) win on court one. On court three, Presbyterian's
Eduardo Valentin and
Marco Foglieni were tied in their match, 4-4, before it was stopped since the Blue Hose had already clinched the doubles point.
SINGLES
ETSU won all six singles matches in straight sets to claim the overall victory. At number one doubles, Presbyterian's Mamalat forced the first set of his match to a tiebreaker before dropping the set.
