Presbyterian Tops Queens For Coach Boada’s First Win at PC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Behind two doubles and four singles wins, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (1-3) defeated the Queens Royals (0-4), 5-2, on the road on Friday afternoon. The win marked Presbyterian Coach Juan Pablo Boada's first career win as a college coach. 
 
"Feels great to get our first win this season, everyone came together as a team and gave their best effort," said Boada "We'll keep pushing, keep improving, and keep fighting together. This team is only going to keep growing."
 
DOUBLES
For the second straight match, Presbyterian captured the doubles point. At number three doubles, Presbyterian's Eduardo Valentin and Marco Foglieni posted a 6-2 win. On court two, Presbyterian's Pedro Cardoso and Daksh Prasad recorded a 6-3 win to claim the doubles point for the Blue Hose.
 
SINGLES
Presbyterian won four singles matches to earn the overall win. Prasad tallied a 6-3, 6-3 win at number three singles. Then, Blue Hose's Foglieni increased PC's lead to 3-0 with a 6-4, 6-0 win at number six. Queens cut PC's lead to 3-1 with a win on court one. Then, Vasilakis secured the victory for the Blue Hose with a 7-5, 6-4 win at number four singles. At number two singles, Presbyterian's Cardoso lost in a hard-fought three sets. Valentin closed out the match's scoring with a 6-4, 6-0 win on court five.
