SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (8-10, Big South: 1-2) lost to the USC Upstate Spartans (5-12, Big South: 1-1), 77-67, on the road on Wednesday evening.

Jamahri Harvey scored a season-high 18 points while connecting on five three-point field goals.
Kobe Stewart scored 16 points.
Jaylen Peterson scored nine points while grabbing 10 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – Carl Parrish scored Presbyterian's first two points with a layup 55 seconds into the game. Harvey knocked down a three from the corner giving the Blue Hose their first lead, 7-4. The Blue Hose pushed their lead to four points, 11-7, after a layup by Harvey with 13 minutes on the clock. Then, USC Upstate scored five straight points taking a 12-11 lead. The Blue Hose regained the lead taking an 18-14 lead after two free throws from
Triston Wilson with 10:18 on the clock. The Spartans scored nine straight points regaining the first half lead for good, 23-18. Upstate would push their lead to 10 points, 32-22. Presbyterian went on a 9-2 scoring run cutting USC Upstate's lead to 34-31 after another three from Harvey with 1:56 left in the half. Stewart and
Jaylen Peterson also scored during the run. The Spartans would take a 38-33 halftime lead.

SECOND HALF – Four minutes into the half, Presbyterian cut Upstate's lead to three, 45-42, after a layup by
Kory Mincy. The Spartans scored eight of the next 10 points pushing their lead to 53-44 with 12:46 on the clock. USC Upstate would eventually increase their lead to 16 points, 63-47, with nine and a half minutes on the clock. The Blue Hose went on an 9-0 scoring run, cutting USC Upstate's lead to 63-56 with 6:42 on the clock. Peterson scored five points during the run and Mincy scored the other four points. USC Upstate scored ending PC's run. Presbyterian eventually cut USC Upstate's lead to three points, 67-64, after two free throws from Stewart with 1:35 on the clock. The Blue Hose were not able to get any closer.
