CLINTON, S.C. – After logging a personal-low two-round tally at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational, sophomore
Sloane Spessard of the Presbyterian College women's golf team has been selected as the Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week.
Aiding the Blue Hose to a 6
th-place team standing in Charleston, Spessard finished 8
th out of 70 players in Presby's third event of the fall schedule.
While the third round of the tournament was canceled on account of inclement weather, Spessard gave the Blue Hose their best individual score of the 2025-26 school year to this point.
TOP-TEN FINISH
- A native of Raleigh, Spessard was instrumental in improving PC's team score at Tot Hill Farm from 11
th last year to 6
th this time around.
- She hit one-over par in the opening round for a career-low score of 73, putting her in line for a top-ten accolade with 18 holes left to go.
- During Round One, Spessard placed three birdies (including two on the last couple holes). Over the second set of 18, she birdied twice more and notched 12 pars.
- That gave her a Round Two total of 75, moving her overall count to 148 (+4). She came two strokes shy of tying for third individually.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Presbyterian will stay in the Palmetto State for their next event on October 13 and 14, headed to Wofford for the Terrier Intercollegiate. The tournament will be held at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg.
GAME ONE
