Presbyterian Falls to No. 19 UCLA

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (3-5) lost to the 19th-ranked UCLA Bruins (5-1), 86-46, on the road on Friday evening.

Jonah Pierce led the Blue Hose with 13 points. Triston Wilson scored nine points and dished out four assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – UCLA scored the game's first seven points. Pierce got the Blue Hose on the board with a layup at the 17:30 mark. After Iverson King converted on a jump shot with 12:18 on the clock, the Blue Hose cut UCLA's lead to 17-7. However, that would be as close the Blue Hose would get to the Bruins in the half, as UCLA led PC, 41-22, at the half.

SECOND HALF – Pierce scored the first two points of the half, cutting UCLA's lead to 17, 41-24. UCLA scored, and then a fast break dunk from Wilson got the Blue Hose back to within 17. Presbyterian was not able to get any closer to UCLA the rest of the game.

  • Pierce's 13 points marked his seventh double-digit scoring game of the season and the 21st of his career.
