CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose fell to the Navy Midshipmen, 76-55, in their season opener in the Templeton Center on Monday night.
Triston Wilson paced the Blue Hose with 13 points.
Jonah Pierce grabbed 13 rebounds, and
Jaylen Peterson grabbed 10 boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – Iverson King scored Presbyterian's first basket of the season after connecting on a layup with 45 seconds gone in the game. The early part of the game had several lead changes and a few ties. With 12:33 on the clock,
Chidi Chiakwelu had a monster dunk, giving the Blue Hose a 12-11 lead. Then, Navy scored five straight points to regain the lead for good. Navy had a 37-17 halftime lead.
SECOND HALF – Presbyterian cut Navy's lead to 18 points a couple of times, but the Blue Hose were not able to get any closer to Navy the rest of the game.

- Pierce's 13 boards were his fifth double-digit rebound game of his PC career.
- Peterson recorded his seventh double-figure rebound game with his 10 boards.
