Davis and Bruhin Reach ITA Masters Final 16 Before Falling

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – McKenzie Davis and Ladina Bruhin of the Presbyterian College women's tennis team competed in the ITA Conference Masters Championships, held November 6-9, 2025 at the Barnes Tennis Center.

 

Davis and Bruhin picked up a straight-set 6-3, 6-3 victory in the round of 32 on Thursday (Nov. 6) over Mackenzie King and Karolina Skowronska of Chicago State before coming up short on Friday (Nov. 7). In the round of 16, they were defeated by the No. 5 seed from Wichita State Xin Tong Wang and Giorgia Roselli 6-3, 6-4.

 

They earned automatic entry into the ITA Conference Masters Championships by way of their win at the Big South Fall Doubles Championship.

 

BIG SOUTH DOUBLES CHAMPIONS
McKenzie Davis and Ladina Bruhin won the Big South Fall Doubles Championship, held Oct. 24-26 in Rock Hill, S.C. Davis and Bruhin picked up three wins as the No. 3 seed in the tournament to claim the title, clinching the championship with an 8-4 win in the final over the No. 5 seed Marina Skegro and Carlota Farres of Charleston Southern. In the semifinals, Davis and Bruhin picked up a narrow win over the No. 2 seed Emma Shasteen and Arili Boshoff of Gardner-Webb in a tiebreak 8-7 (7-3).
