CLINTON, S.C. – After trailing by 15 at the half, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (9-15, Big South: 2-7) rallied to cut the High Point Panthers (19-5, Big South: 7-2) lead to one but Panthers would hold on for an 84-72 win over the Blue Hose in the Templeton Center on Saturday afternoon.

Kory Mincy led all scorers with 24 points while connecting on a career-high five three-point field goals.
Jamahri Harvey scored 17 points.
Kobe Stewart tallied 12 points while dishing out seven assists.
Jaylen Peterson grabbed 12 rebounds with eight points, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – Mincy scored Presbyterian's first bucket with a pull-up jumper in the lane. Then, High Point scored eight straight points. Two free throws from Mincy and a three from the wing by
Quadir Pettaway cut High Point's lead to 8-7 just over four minutes into the half. Presbyterian tied the score at 11 after Peterson knocked down a jumper in the lane at the 14:19 mark. High Point scored five straight points taking back the first half lead for good. High Point led Presbyterian 46-31 at the half.

SECOND HALF – At the 15:44 mark, High Point led Presbyterian by 13, 53-40. Harvey began Presbyterian's 10-0 scoring run by connecting on three free throws after getting fouled shooting a three.
Iverson King scored two points and Mincy scored four points including a layup that cut High Point's lead to 53-50 with 14:07 left on the clock. High Point scored five of the next seven points taking a 58-52 lead. The Panthers eventually pushed their lead back to double-digits. At the 9:54 mark, High Point held a 67-56 lead. Over the next four and a half minutes, Presbyterian went on a 13-3 run cutting High Point's lead to one, 70-69, after a three from the wing by Mincy. One of the big plays during the run began with a steal at midcourt off a High Point inbounds pass from Peterson, who took it himself for a dunk. High Point would stop Presbyterian's run scoring five unanswered points. Presbyterian was not able to get any closer to High Point for the rest of the game. Â
