PC Drops Game Three of Series Against Hoyas

CLINTON, S.C. – After picking up a pair of hard-fought wins yesterday, the Presbyterian College baseball team (2-1) fell to the Georgetown Hoyas (1-2) on Saturday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first inning, base hits from Ryan Ouzts and Matthew Rollison put runners in scoring position for the Blue Hose in the bottom of the second.
- Jackson Hugus ripped an RBI single down the left field line, bringing Ouzts home to give PC a 1-0 lead.
- Georgetown's Tristan Head knocked one over the right center field fence with a runner on base to steal a 2-1 lead after four innings.
- The score stayed constant until the Hoyas picked up two more runs in the top of the seventh inning to extend their lead to 4-1.
- The Blue Hose were unable to score again while Georgetown picked up one final run in the ninth inning to close out the game 5-1.
 
NOTABLES
- Trey Fenderon tallied three hits on five at bats.
- Ryan Ouzts took two hits on three at bats.
- Matthew Rollison recorded two hits on four at bats.
 
UP NEXT
The Blue Hose take their first road trip of the season on Tuesday where they will face Elon at 4:00 p.m.
