Box Score ELON, N.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (2-2) dropped their first midweek game of the season to the Elon Phoenix (1-3) on Tuesday evening in Elon, North Carolina.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Trey Fenderson wasted no time grabbing the first hit of the day as he singled up the middle. As the next batter,
Amman Dewberry cranked an RBI triple to right center field, sending Fenderson home to put the Blue Hose on the board.
Jake Randolph stood at the plate with a 1-2 count before knocking a base hit to right center field, allowing Dewberry to easily cross the plate.
- The Phoenix answered in the second inning, scoring two unearned runs on a PC fielding error to tie the score at two runs apiece.
- Elon extended their lead to 6-2 in the bottom of the third inning.
- The opponents left PC scoreless over the next two innings, while taking six of their own runs in the bottom of the fourth to hold a comfortable 12-2 advantage.
- With Presby unable to add to their total Elon continued to push ahead scoring four runs over the next three innings.
- The Blue Hose were able to score one more run in the top of the ninth inning when
Cam Mallo hit a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded.
- Despite the Blue Hose's efforts, Elon was able to take the win in their home opener with a final score of 16-3.
