CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College freshman Bo Moody has been named a Perfect Game Freshman All-American in honors announced on Thursday (June 11).
Moody was selected to the Perfect Game Second Team, becoming just the second player in program history to earn Freshman All-America honors. Brad Zebedis earned a spot on the NCBWA Freshman All-American Team back in 2011.
One of the most accomplished rookies in program history, Bo Moody delivered an outstanding season to begin his Presbyterian campaign. He took home Big South Freshman of the Year honors on May 19, becoming the second Blue Hose player ever to earn the prestigious award. Brad Zebedis was the other, claiming the honor as well in 2011.
Moody was named to the Big South's All-Freshman Team while also earning a place on the league's All-Conference Second Team. Moody and Zebedis stand alone as the only Blue Hose freshmen to be selected to the league's first or second All-Conference team.
During the season, the accolades for Moody continued to pour in. He was named a semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award by the College Baseball Foundation on April 22, recognizing the nation's top shortstop. He was one of just two players from the Big South (Willie Ponce, High Point) and one of only two freshmen (Linkin Garcia, Texas Tech) in the country to be honored as one of the nation's best 50 shortstops.
Spearheading the team all year long, Moody finished the season leading the Blue Hose in several statistical categories, ranking in the top three of almost every offensive grouping. In 2026, he led Presbyterian in stolen bases (14), runs scored (39), and walks (23). He was second on the team in hits (55), batting average (.304), and on-base percentage (.424). He finished tied for sixth in the conference in triples (2). Defensively, he led the team with 134 assists, good for sixth in the Big South.
Moody was named Big South Freshman of the Week twice, on March 23 and April 6, joining Chris Veach and Tristan McGregor as only the third Blue Hose freshman to win the award multiple times.
