CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College head baseball coach Elton Pollock has announced the addition of Hunter Dilworth to the coaching staff for the Blue Hose on Thursday (Sept. 17).

Dilworth will serve as the Director of Pitching and Player Development for the Presbyterian baseball program. He arrives to Clinton after spending the last two seasons as the Director of Player Development at Manhattan.

"I am extremely excited about the addition of Hunter Dilworth to our coaching staff," said Coach Pollock. "He is a winner and has a true passion for teaching the game. His extensive coaching experiences will serve in the areas of pitching and player development. His work ethic and energy have made an immediate impact, and I look forward to watching our team flourish in the days ahead."

A winner at multiple levels, Dilworth helped Manhattan win 40 games in his two seasons with the Jaspers. Under his guidance, pitcher Chris Fidanza was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team in 2025.

"I'm excited for a new chapter in life and my coaching career," said Dilworth. "I'm ready to get to work with an awesome staff with a great culture within the program!"

Prior to his stay with the Jaspers, Dilworth spent seven years on staff with NCAA Division II program North Greenville, accumulating a 289-74-1 (.794) overall record and a 148-34 (.813) mark in the Conference Carolinas. He rose through the ranks with the Trailblazers, becoming the pitching coach in 2022. 

Under his direction, North Greenville won the DII National Championship in 2022. He helped the Trailblazers win five Conference Carolinas regular season titles in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. North Greenville dominated the Conference Carolinas Tournament with Dilworth on staff as well, winning four consecutive titles in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022 (season canceled in 2020).

Adding to his wealth of experience, Dilworth has spent the last two summers coaching in the Cape Cod League with the Harwich Mariners. He helped Harwich win the Cape Cod Championship in 2026.

Hailing from Easley, South Carolina, Dilworth played college baseball at USC Salkehatchie before transferring to North Greenville. As a player, he holds the sixth lowest ERA in North Greenville history, boasting a 3.62 career ERA. He also ranks third in fewest walks allowed with the Trailblazers, giving up just 2.15 per game. He was named to the Conference Carolinas Second Team as a senior in 2016.
